Cooperative board games are great for players to come together and use their combined resources to beat the game. This type of game play ensures players are always engaged even when it is someone else's turn because everyone is working together and involved in every step along the way. Cooperative games can be extremely fun in ways other games just can't, like when players get to constructively debate for 5 minutes about the best course of action and come up with a master plan to carry out and win.
There are some potential downfalls in these type of games. For example, there might be a player who is extremely competitive and would rather just win themselves “I don't need you peasants to win!”, or when there is one person who tries to play the whole game for everyone else and dictates the entire game. Don't worry though cooperative games are mostly amazing. Here is a list of The Best Cooperative Board Games by BGG Rating, enjoy!
